1. M. Tech (VLSI) : Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur is a self financed college running a full time post-graduate programme in core VLSI field in R.S.T.M. Nagpur University area. Department of Electronics Engineering is accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. The nature of programme is full-time with duration of course being four semesters (i.e. two years). This is a unique course of its kind in Central India. The main objective of the course is to provide an opportunity to graduate engineers for enhancing their skills which will open career avenues to them in R&D Institutes, Engineering multinational companies and Teaching field. VLSI is a rapid developing trend and globally required in this world. VLSI is integration of large number of transistors on a particular chip. VLSI drastically curtails the size and power demand with the increase in functionality on a single chip. It can be easily and immediately accepted in diversified fields such as industries, biomedical science, defence, communication and above all for the community services. Hence it is necessary to generate as much expert professionals as possible with the specialization in VLSI. To compliment the exceeding requirement of industry at national and global level, we are running the course M. Tech.(VLSI). 2. Faculty : Electronics Engineering Department of the Institute has rich faculty in the area of VLSI Design. Faculty group is composed of Professors , Assistant Professors and Senior lecturers with wide & varied research/teaching/industry experience in the related field. Many of them have worked on live industry based projects.
3. Collaboration : The institute has established collaborations with 45 leading organizations grouped under four categories. 1) Private Organization, 2) Public sector undertaking, 3) CSIR Institutes and 4) Academia. Under these prominent organisations are EDAS technologies Pvt .Ltd. Gill Instruments (Bangalore), Conjoin, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., MSEB, WCL, CAT Indore (a Unit of BARC Bombay), CICR, CMRI and reputed institutions like VNIT. These collaborations are for PCE organizing Specialty Short Term Courses, sponsored or mutual projects, consultancy assignments, testing works etc. Some of these collaborations will be also useful for getting assignments for industry oriented dissertations for the post-graduate course in VLSI.
