About Department

 

The department of applied mechanics is involved in the teaching of engineering mechanics which is the core subject at BE 1st year. The faculty are involved in the inter disciplinary research work and is supported by Applied Mechanics Lab and Surveying and levelling Lab.

 

Technical Achievements

 

Paper Published

       * S. A. Dhale     :  One paper published at international Seminar on GPS, in February

                                       2003 at survey of India, Dehradun  

          * A. M. Shende  : 

                                       1) Paper published at international seminar on GPS, in February 2003

                                           at survey of India, Dehradun.

 

                                       2) Paper published at institute of Engineers (India) Nagpur center at

                                           innovation 2003 on study of Axially loaded steel tube columns 

                                           filled with concrete.

 

                                       3) Paper selected for ACC Cement (Central India) Magazine, on study

                                           of Axially Loaded Steel tube columns filled with concrete.  

            * Anand Kumar  : Indian Highway Journal – Environment Impact Assessment of Delayed

                                        Project.

 

Departmental Events

   

    Ø Conducted orientation workshop from last two years on “Performance Improvement 

                   in University in Examination”.

    Ø Conducted surveying camp for third year B. Arch students

    Ø Conducted Plane Table Survey of P.C.E & A College Campus

    Ø Prepared detailed layout plan of P.C.E & A College campus showing all the minute

                   detailed.

    Ø Prepared the area statement of all the building of P.C.E. & A college campus.

    Ø Engaged the practical of Engineering Mechanics for NPTI student in our Laboratory

                   from last two years.
